When we had a market stall we once sold vintage European workwear jackets. Really liking the look of some of them we wanted to re-create the style. So we took the pattern from our favourite jacket, tweaked it a bit, considered the cuffs and arms, pockets and their position, length of the jacket etc and created our own workwear style jackets.
This one is made from a relatively lightweight cotton. The style makes a really good soft everyday jacket with great big pockets for all your stuff.
It is made from a dark blue twill fabric. We recycled the fixings from vintage tents we had used elsewhere to make the buttons which are riveted on in metal. They were initially painted green but some of that paint has worn away making them really interesting.
